Rhianna Gaehring was an amazing doula. She is kind, thoughtful, open-minded, knowledgeable, experienced, and a great listener. She helped put us at ease in the weeks leading up to our delivery, and advocated for our interests and desires in the delivery room during the birth. We can't imagine the experience without her and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Connected Doulas had excellent communication from start to finish. We were able to virtually meet with a few amazing women before ultimately making our decision. On day of labor, they all coordinated to make sure we were in the best hands. Martiza made us feel so comfortable and was always there to answer all of our questions. She even came over post partum to check in on everything. Rhianna was able to be there for us last minute and helped us through delivery. Fantastic women! Thank you Connected Doulas!

As first-time parents planning a birth center birth, my husband and I knew we wanted a doula to provide that extra layer of support and help us feel empowered throughout the process. When I found Connected Doulas, their matching process felt both professional and informative. After interviewing with Rhianna, we immediately knew she was the perfect fit. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Rhianna. She provided us with an array of resources and anytime we reached out with questions or concerns, she responded within moments. And when labor began, she arrived at our side at a moment’s notice. Her support was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. This was the first baby for me and my husband and we were extremely excited though also overwhelmed. We have nothing but good things to say about Connected Doulas, especially our Doula, Rebecca. Initially we met with both Colleen and Rebecca who are incredibly personable and a wealth of knowledge, though we primarily worked with Rebecca. I actually cannot imagine going through childbirth without our Doula, Laura. She was compassionate, skilled, present and so much more. As a first-time mother with no family living in the area, getting post-partum support was crucial to both my health and my baby’s. My experience with Connected Doulas was the best I could have hoped for from start to finish. Their extensive initial questionnaire shows the effort they make to match you with a doula who fits your needs, and you are even given the chance to interview a few before making a selection. Through this process, I had the pleasure of working with Daphne, who ended up being an amazing match for my family. In the many shifts we’ve had with Daphne, she was always on time, communicative, helpful with any and all baby tasks, and most importantly, incredibly warm, caring, and patient with our baby. I was grateful to lean on Daphne for advice as a first-time mother, but also appreciated that she respected our autonomy as parents. The Doula I was connected with and worked with through Connected Doulas was phenomenal. I was on a budget and worked therefore with a fairly new one (Daria) and she was AMAZING!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Connected Doulas! They were very easy to work with from the start. We were most happy about who they connected us with, Chelsea, who was a perfect addition to our village after the birth of our twins. She helped us care for our twins, gave us advice, and was there as an all around support to both my husband and me as we adjusted to our new life as a family of four.

I had a very positive experience working with connected doulas. They have a wide range of services - from full service doula (childbirth education + prep + hospital support), placenta capsules, hypnobirthing, postpartum doula and cooking, and childbirth education. The intake form was thorough and helpful in making sure they understood my needs. Everyone was really responsive and helpful while I was exploring the different options for my second pregnancy and birth prep. I ended up working with Rhianna on childbirth education. Rhianna was so helpful and supportive. She took time to first meet with me, answer questions, and is clearly an expert doula (has supported 150+ births!). Since it was my second time with preparing for labor and delivery, customized our sessions like she would for a hospital client. My husband and I learned so much from her and had a truly wonderful labor and delivery experience thanks to her support and deep knowledge she shared with us on pain management and labor support techniques. We are so grateful that Connected Doulas matched us with Rhianna! The entire process from our initial conversations, to our matching survey, to interviewing three great Doula options, to then selecting Rhianna were smooth, timely, and thoughtful. I am a “more information is better” type of person and Rhianna met that energy, sharing lots of resources, making recommendations when asked, and always being generous with her time. It was clear Rihanna had worked with many different kinds of clients and she very clearly tailored the support to what she knew would be most helpful to me specifically. The pre-delivery meetings were so helpful to me and my husband feeling prepared and comfortable with all of the unknowns of childbirth. It was amazing to have someone who knew us so well with us during delivery. Rhianna was such a valuable part of my pregnancy journey and I highly recommend finding a doula through Connected Doulas (personal bias for Rhianna but find the doula that is the right fit for you)!

Hiring a night doula was my push present to myself after being totally solo for nights with my first. My husband is a hospitality so he works nights and 24 hr shifts and I was nervous being alone all night with my newborn and toddler once he went back to work. Bernadette to the rescue! She was wonderful about checking in on how things were going between visits for both the baby and for me. She helped us troubleshoot getting our breastfed baby to take a bottle as I transitioned back to work and her presence allowed me to sleep peacefully while I knew my baby was safe and in good hands. Connected Doulas was worth every penny!

I had a great experience using connected doulas to support me with my first child! They connected me with excellent, experienced doulas to decide between, and were always very prompt and helpful when responding to any questions I had. My post partum doula, Colleen Welsh, was an amazing support. I felt so at ease with her taking care of my baby and supporting me with nights. She was so calming, approachable, and thoughtful. She's also super knowledgeable, and was always ready to answer questions about all things post partum and newborn care. If she ever wasn't sure about something she'd do a bunch of research for me and would quickly send me helpful info and recommendations. I cannot recommend her enough!

Monica and Anna were great additions to our family during the postpartum period! The company was very professional, and was also able to anticipate our needs. Our daughter ended up coming a month early, and they were able to easily accommodate to the change in our schedule, which was greatly appreciated.

Connected Doulas is a wonderful service and I highly recommend it to any parent. I work in the medical field so I think I’m especially critical. My husband and I relied heavily on the postpartum doulas- they allowed us to get full nights sleep which was essential in managing our stress and helping me recover as a new mom. They were also incredibly empowering. I found that a lot of the other doula services we interviewed took a more prescriptive approach and were eager to tell us how to parent where as Connected Doulas worked with our innate capabilities and encouraged us to use our instincts which helped me feel more secure as a new mom. My baby was born prematurely and had a few complications which was not an issue for the doulas at all and they took wonderful care and precautions. Another important thing to note is that the one time we did have a personality difference with a doula, it was dealt with very quickly and professionally by Emma, and she swapped out our doula without any hesitation. Should we have another child in the future, I would use their services again!

We loved the way Connected Doulas helped facilitate us connecting with a doula that was the right fit for us. Belle was our doula and she was AMAZING! This was my first pregnancy and I really wanted to do a natural birth but was scared to (and scared during labor), but Belle helped ease the anxiety so much and had so much information to give us and strategies to use to help me meet my goal. She was also really good at advocating for us to the medical team based on our preferences in the birth plan and supporting my husband as well. Literally could not have done an unmedicated birth without her! And she followed up at a post partum visit to process and support us. 10/10 would recommend having a doula, specifically with them, specifically Belle. I hope she will be a doula again for us when we try for our second!

We had a very good experience with this agency. The team's responsiveness and communication was very timely and effective. We really appreciated the availability for urgent assistance. Being able to find help in short periods of time really reflects their commitment to family's support and needs. We had the pleasure of working with three doulas: Tara for overnight support, and Leila and Colleen for flexible daytime assistance. Each doula demonstrated professionalism (checking in with us regarding schedules, preferences, need for additional household support) and attentiveness to our family's unique needs (understanding the ever-changing needs of infants and babies). From the very first night Kelly came to support our family she meshed seamlessly during a stressful time of transition for all of us. Kelly has a true gift, she is incredibly intuitive and can almost anticipate the best ways to support our family without us even having to say much. She also very quickly picked up on our newborn sons needs and worked with us as a true partner while we figured out the first few months of being a family of 4. I truly could not have asked for a better experience!!! I wish I could have had Kelly the first time around. She really has a gift as a doula and I would highly recommend her to anyone that asked!

I had a wonderful experience working with Connected Transitions. They were very responsive and thorough in connecting me with a birth doula and postpartum doula. Jazmine and Adriane were both amazing to work with as postpartum doulas and it was great to know my LO was taken care so my husband and I could get some rest at night. Jazmine was an awesome birth doula - she was very knowledgeable, asked great questions, and incredibly non-judgmental. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend using the doula services of Connected Transitions! I got doula for both birth and postpartum. As a nervous and clueless first time mom, I felt very supported and empowered throughout the whole journey. I got matched with a wonderful doula and back up doula as well. They explained everything and worked with me. I appreciated the warmth and flexibility of my doula. She was always there for me! I couldn’t have done it without Connected Transitions! Administrative things are also great- one less thing to worry about in your busy time. Right from the first email to getting invoices at the end- everything was seamless. They make everything as easy for you as possible!

Connected Doulas changed my life. Specifically, our doula, Bernadette, who we have the absolute pleasure and joy of working with. Bernadette cares for our son with so much kindness, dedication, and thoughtfulness. We love all of the Montessori childhood development education she brings to her work as well. We have learned SO MUCH FROM HER (so much. it's actually terrifying in retrospect how little we knew even though we thought we did all of our homework??) and our son absolutely adores her. It's so immediately clear that she has that "magic touch" with babies. Bernadette has the magic touch with grown-ups too: She cares for my husband and I with just as much kindness, thoughtfulness, and so much EMPATHY. Zero judgment from her. Bernadette has truly made it possible for us to breathe, to enjoy this special time, to worry less, and to become stronger parents. HAVING A BABY IS HARD. (No sh*t.) Bernadette knows this, understands this, helps remove some of the mental and physical load, feeds us healthy foods (we were eating like college students during finals for a period there just to survive), allows us to R E S T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, helps us find order among the chaos, teaches us, comforts me (I'm a crier...). Emma Yoder, owner of Connected Doulas, has been AMAZING throughout the process as well. She and her wonderful, wonderful team -- Carolyn, Monica, everyone else we've had the pleasure of speaking to (and asking a million and one questions to) make everything so easy. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. We had a good experience with Connected Transitions. I had a complicated delivery and the whole team at Connected Transitions came to my rescue. My birth and postpartum doula, Laura, was an absolute Rockstar and went above and beyond for us. My postpartum doula, Colleen, is a BABY WHISPERER and cooked us delicious and healing meals that helped me recovery and get strong. Our other doula, Maria, brought wisdom and experience as well as calm, warm demeanor to helping us transition to parenthood.

I had a phenomenal birthing experience working with my doula, Laura Walker for the birth of our daughter Abby (photo attached)! Laura was an excellent guide in helping us prepare for the birth and giving good suggestions for exercises, educational material, and questions to consider. She truly exceeding our expectations for providing emotional support//coaching during our birthing experience at Pennsylvania Hospital and de-brief in the postpartum period. I appreciate all that Connected Transitions did to facilitate our relationship and help bring our daughter into the world.

Emma and the team at Connected Transitions were a great postpartum support to me and family. We had a total of three postpartum doulas and although they each had their own style, they were all truly wonderful and made the postpartum experience much better for us. They had such a calm presence, were great with our newborn twins, and super helpful with laundry/diaper trash/house stuff while I was feeding the babies and when they were sleeping. I would recommend Connected Transitions to any family (and especially any family expecting twins!) to help with those early weeks and sleepless nights.

My husband and I worked closely with Emma, Jenn, and Maria throughout our pregnancy and 4th trimester for our first born. And let me tell you, this team has been an absolute pleasure to work with - we cannot recommend them highly enough! First, Emma and her admin team were so incredibly helpful and responsive since day 1. Emma took the time to get to know us so she could thoughtfully match us with doulas that fit exactly what we were looking for. She also worked with our insurance company to make sure any eligible services were covered, which was a huge help! Jenn Mendez was our birth doula and was truly everything we ever wanted and more. My husband and I joked that we got our money’s worth after just one conversation with Jenn, where she went over a ton of valuable information and answered our long list of questions with compassion and expertise. Any worry or concerns (or ignorance) I had about labor and delivery were gone as soon as we met Jenn. She exudes calm, confidence, and warmth, and I’ll never forget the relief I felt when she arrived at the hospital for our son’s birth. She was also in our speed dial afterwards to address any questions as we settled into parenthood - we could not be more grateful for the support Jenn provided for our new family. We also worked with Maria Larson for postpartum support, and she similarly brought a calming presence to an otherwise hectic time in our lives. I always looked forward to afternoons with Maria. Not only did she afford me a much-needed afternoon nap, shower, and time to get our home in order, but she also was a wonderful companion to chat with after a long morning of baby talk and was willing to flexibly plan around our unpredictable schedules. Our son loved his time with Maria - whether it was playtime or snuggles - he was always happy and well cared for with her.

Very thoughtful practice full of people that care about your pregnancy. They also connected us with our nanny after the birth.

I cannot speak more highly of Connected Transitions! From the start, Emma was prompt with communication and listened and understood my needs in the post partum period. We have used doula services in a non-traditional sense during my return to work transition. Danielle and Cath are amazing!!! They are kind, compassionate, professional and naturally blended into our family routine to provide the support that we need.

Connected Transitions is an amazing company. It has given me peace of mind and sleep during a very difficult post-partum time. It has the benefit of personalized and consistent care from the matching process to working with your Doula with the benefit of a company that leverages technology in their operations and can provide back up support if needed. I couldn’t be happier with Emma and Connected Transitions. We hired Emma as a post Pardum doula when we brought our twins home from the hospital. I couldn’t have done it without her. Trying to raise a 4 year old and take care of preemies was a lot for us. Emma was able to give me support both for myself and the babies. I learned so much and I was able to get much needed rest. Once Emma had to start with her next client , her company found another doula who we continued with for quite some time. We were so happy Thamar as well! I highly recommend for any new parent or seasoned ones!

Having a postpartum doula radically transformed my postpartum experience with my second baby. Emma and my doulas, Colleen and Lebo, were kind and caring at every turn. Like any mom with a newborn baby, I’m protective and leery of anyone else caring for my baby. I never worried for a second when Lebo and Colleen were caring for my daughter. I was referred Emma & her team by a close family member. After a challenging end to pregnancy & delivery, we decided some extra night support would be really helpful for the first few months. Emma is truly an angel on earth. She helped me learn about my baby, provided tips and tricks for sleeping, feedings, and more. She helped me build my confidence as a new mom, without any judgement. And her team is an extension of her - I also utilized other members (Marcie) and their lactation consulting services (Brittany). Emma and her team have made the newborn months so much better than I ever imagined. With the support of her and other postpartum doulas at Connected Transitions, I was able to rest and heal from my c-section, ease the transition for my first-born by being able to spend valuable time with him, and stay on top of some of the everyday hassle that can feel like a mountain when you are newly-postpartum. The communication between doulas really set CT apart from other doula companies we have worked with in the past. They took and shared diligent notes each night, which other doulas on the team could rely upon for the most recent updates to my baby’s schedule/routine. Every doula that walked in the door was kind, skilled, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and felt invested in our success. I will miss them all but I know our family is on a great footing thanks to their efforts!

I loved my doula Jennifer. During labor she gave me a feeling of confidence that I didn't feel from the doctors. I don't think my induction would have gone as quickly without her moving me around in different positions. I recommend all birth mothers to have a doula.

As a new mom, I was feeling overwhelmed and sleep-deprived, and their support was a godsend! Moira and Monica were warm, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. They listened carefully to my concerns and provided expert guidance on everything from breastfeeding to newborn care to sleep patterns. They were always available to answer my questions and offer support whenever I needed it (which was often as a first time mom!) Their practical support was also invaluable. They supported me in taking care of all the nighttime needs of my baby, including diaper changes, soothing, and feedings. They even assisted with laundry and bottle/ pump parts cleaning, which was incredibly helpful! Thanks to their support, I was able to get the rest I needed to feel more alert and focused during the day to be the best mom I could to our little boy. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. Their compassionate care helped me feel more confident and empowered as a new mom, and my husband and I will always be grateful for their help during this special time!! Overall, I cannot recommend Moira and Monica highly enough! Their support is invaluable, especially for first-time parents! We had a great experience with Emma (amazing) and Connected Transitions. She went above and beyond to answer our questions (and brought us formula and gas drops when we were just home from the hospital with our twins and had a hard time getting out) about how a night doula could help. Each time I went downstairs in the morning, our bottles were ready to go and the babies laundry was clean and organized. A layer of stress from having newborn twins was gone and I felt refreshed. I felt comfortable that the babies were in good hands and they would let me know how they were at night and any recommendations they may have. I can't recommend them (Emma, Monica and Moira) enough!
